Camping Info

To ensure everyone is a happy camper, here are some important points relating to camping at the North West Festival;

There will be a dedicated campground for tents (you can park your vehicle beside your tent), and a separate area for campervans and caravans.

Camping is free if you have purchased a two-day, Saturday, or VIP Weekender ticket and have clicked on the free camping upgrade. Note that Friday only and Sunday only ticket holders will NOT be able to camp.

On Friday 19th August the campgrounds open at 3.00pm. On Saturday 20th August the campgrounds open at 9.00am. Please do not arrive early as you will be turned away.

FOR SAFETY REASONS, CAMPERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MOVE THEIR VEHICLES, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, FROM THE CAMPGROUNDS UNTIL 6AM ON SUNDAY, 21st AUGUST.

Please follow the signs from the campground to the entry gates.

Bringing alcohol into the campgrounds (or the festival) is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Security and event staff will be patrolling the campgrounds, and any alcohol found will be confiscated.

Police sniffer dogs may be in operation.

Camping sites are allocated upon arrival at the sole discretion of North West Festival staff. Ticket-holders cannot choose their own site.

If you intend to camp alongside friends, you MUST arrive together – NO EXCEPTIONS. Sites cannot be reserved for later arrivals.

Campers and day patrons, make sure you bring everything in with you that you need for the day, as once you enter the festival, there are no passouts, which means you won’t be able to exit and re-enter. Campers are not permitted to move between the campgrounds and the festival during the hours of the festival. Sorry, but this is a condition of the liquor licensing and event permits.

For the comfort of others, please keep the noise in the campgrounds after midnight to a minimum. If you wish to stay up for a little longer after the festival, some acoustic entertainment will continue in the festival grounds until later.

Showers and toilets will be available to campers within the campgrounds at all hours.

Neither the Town of Port Hedland nor the festival organiser shall be held liable for any theft or loss of personal belongings from the campgrounds. Please ensure that you don’t leave any valuables at your campsite.

There is absolutely no camping or sleeping in your vehicles (this includes utes, camper vans and caravans) outside of the camping area. You may receive a large fine from the local rangers.

There is a TOTAL FIRE BAN. Fires, including camp stoves, are not permitted in the campgrounds.

Cooking equipment, alcohol, animals, glass, illegal substances or anything that could be used as a weapon are not permitted in the campgrounds.

Keep the campgrounds clean. Please put your rubbish in the bins provided.
